Cardiovascular disease (CVD) has been the leading cause of death in Asia even before the COVID-19 pandemic, accounting for 10.8 million deaths annually. The pandemic worsened the situation by disrupting essential CVD care. While there’s been research on the impact on outpatient visits and hospital admissions, less is known about how the pandemic affected early to mid-career cardiovascular physicians and surgeons. This study aims to explore their experiences and challenges during the pandemic in the diverse Asia-Pacific region.
