My fascination with the digestive system began during my medical school years. I was captivated by the complexity and functionality of the gastrointestinal tract. This early interest made it clear that my career path would lead to either Gastroenterology or Digestive Surgery. As a junior doctor, I had the opportunity to experience both disciplines. Through this hands-on exposure, I realized that Gastroenterology was a better fit for me.
