
Atopic dermatitis (AD), a chronic inflammatory skin condition, has long been recognized for its complex interplay of genetic predisposition and environmental factors. Recent research has increasingly pointed to the role of diet and lifestyle choices in influencing AD development and exacerbation. Intake of fatty acids (FAs) are of key interest because of their immunoregulatory effects. A new study conducted among young Chinese adults in Singapore and Malaysia sheds light on these associations, offering valuable insights for healthcare professionals and policymakers alike. This study represents the first regional study in Asia offering insights into the potential influence of dietary factors on the onset and exacerbation of AD.
